This past weekend Elle and traveled to the next province to the city of Suzhou. Suzhou is known as the “Venice of China” because it is a watercity with canals running through the old part of town. There are many beautiful gardens and well preserved buildings throughout the city because of couple of the attractions have been deemed World Heritage sites. We definitely did not see all that Suzhou has to offer but we were able to wander through a gorgeous garden and climb a temple. But more importantly we took a little boat trip in the canal and rode around on a pedicab. Our driver sang us a nice song and even let Elle wear his hat… so we thought he was so nice. But then he demanded more money for is extra song so we paid him a bit more.
Here are some of my pictures from Suzhou.
